Wallis Caiquo brings a wealth of healthcare leadership experience and a deep commitment to serving the Los Angeles community to the AA-GC board. As one of the founders of AA-GC, his motivation to help start the organization is rooted in his passion for uplifting those in need and transforming lives. Wallis is deeply involved in the daily operations at AA-GC's recuperative care and rehabilitation facility and uses his expertise in patient care management and strategic planning to make a meaningful impact every day.
Wallis is a dedicated and results-driven healthcare professional with a proven track record in operational leadership. He excels at driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall organizational performance. As the Department Administrative Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he oversees administrative staff and operations across multiple specialty clinics. Wallis manages billing and revenue activities, develops and implements standard operating policies, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. His ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and implement strategic solutions has resulted in increased healthcare volume and revenue, decreased operational expenses, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Previously, as Supervisor of Office Services at Cedars-Sinai, Wallis trained and evaluated staff, supervised administrative activities, and ensured compliance with regulations and department policies. His tenure as a Patient Services Representative II involved providing administrative support in a busy medical office, performing financial consultations, and managing patient coordination and complex scheduling. He also has experience as a Branch Manager at Nationwide Insurance, where he directed operations, developed safety and emergency management policies, and provided training and development to personnel.
With expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, fiscal management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement, Wallis is adept at fostering an environment of continuous improvement and excellence. He holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Environmental & Occupational Health Science from California State University, Fresno. His strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to patient care help ensure the delivery of efficient and effective healthcare services.
Beyond his professional achievements, Wallis's passion for service extends to his involvement with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Since 2008, he has actively served in leadership roles and participated in community service projects that address the needs of underserved populations. This dedication to uplifting others perfectly aligns with AA-GC's core values, making him an invaluable asset to the board and the community it serves.

Driven by a boundless compassion for those in need, Michelle established AA-GC with a resolute vision: to empower individuals facing homelessness and hardship through nurturing support and a path to recovery. Her leadership extends beyond the boardroom, as she actively oversees operations at AA-GC's recuperative care and rehabilitation facility, ensuring a haven for healing and a springboard for a brighter future for those served by the organization.

Michelle brings a wealth of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix to the table, solidifying her expertise in strategy, operations, and leadership. Throughout her career, she has successfully navigated complex operational environments, overseen staff teams, and spearheaded initiatives that positively impacted vulnerable populations. Her commitment to effective communication extends to fostering strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality care.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Michelle has a long history of dedicated community service. Her unwavering commitment to uplifting others shines through in her service on the Advisory Boards of Shields for Families (2001-2010) and the Compton College Nursing Department (1999-2006). From spearheading successful outreach programs to organizing charitable events for thousands of children, Michelle's passion for social justice is evident.
